Patrick Porter was born and reared in Shreveport, Louisiana, educated in Texas at Baylor University and Baylor Law School, and then decided to chuck it all and go to New York City to train and work as an actor.
     He works out of NYC on stage and increasingly in Film/TV.  He trained in the Musical Theatre (Integrated) program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London for Shakespeare Performance. 
     Recent Roles include Johnny Lovejoy in Chris Weikel's acclaimed Pig Tale, An Urban Faerie Story, both in NYC and in Dublin, Ireland; Roger Mortimer in the NYC premiere of David Brendan Hopes' Edward the King; Father in Ragtime at the White Plains Performing Arts Center; Duke/Carrasco in a Co-production of Man of La Mancha for Cleveland Playhouse and Virginia Stage Company; and in Twelfth Night and Man of La Mancha in repertory at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.  NYC and Regional Theatre work also includes Blood on the Dining Room Floor, Edward The King, Irene, 108 Waverly, Belles of the Mill, The Wilder Project, How to Marry a Millionaire, Voir Dire, Everyman, Whiskey Down, Cabaret, Cymbeline.
