Return from Death Valley is a black and white picture book with poetic interludes. It is my first published book. I entered and won a b/w photobook contest with the independent publisher, LOST ALPHABET. I met Kori Wilson, co-owner of Sister's Uptown Bookstore & Cultural Center, during the production of Jewelle Gomez's "Waiting for Giovanni" produced by TOSOS, the longest producing LGBTQ+ Theatre Company in NYC, and a company I have been associated with both as performer and now as board member. Kori suggested that Sister's Uptown would be a great place to have a relase/signing party for my book, and I am so excited and honored to have this opportunity. There will be book signing, refreshments, a reading or two, and who knows, perhaps some performances. I do hope you drop by to support independent artists, book sellers, and publishers.
