Stonewall 50 / World Pride Celebratory Performance of STREET THEATER

Eagle Bar NYC, 554 W28th St., NY, NY 10001

I am so excited to participate with The Other Side OF Silence (TOSOS) to celebrate Stonewall 50/World Pride Celebration with a concert reading of Doric Wilson’s STREET THEATER at The Eagle Bar NYC, which has been the venue for several production of the play. So it is like going home. TOSOS is only charging $20, and you will have access to the Eagle’s cash bar.

I will be reprising the role of DONALD, the embittered “sweater queen.”

Set in Greenwich Village June 28 1969, shortly before the first brick was thrown at the Stonewall Inn, Doric Wilson's legendary satire STREET THEATER follows the exploits of the cruisers, drag queens, undercover cops, dykes, hippies, mobsters and bystanders (innocent and otherwise) as they catapult toward the moment that changed the course of history.

TOSOS will be doing 2 more shows after this in the Bronx and in Yonkers. Check my other announcements.

I am so excited to participate with The Other Side OF Silence (TOSOS) in the kick off to Stonewall 50/World Pride Celebration with a concert reading of Doric Wilson’s STREET THEATER, at the place it all began.

Reserve FAST if you want to be at the STONEWALL. That said, TOSOS will be doing the show (and the accompanying panel) in 3 more venues around the city. Check my other announcements.

Return to Death Valley Book Signing & Release Reception

 —  —

Sister's Uptown Bookstore & Cultural Center, 1942 Amsterdam Avenue @156th Street, New York, NY

Return from Death Valley is a black and white picture book with poetic interludes. It is my first published book. I entered and won a b/w photobook contest with the independent publisher, LOST ALPHABET. I met Kori Wilson, co-owner of Sister's Uptown Bookstore & Cultural Center, during the production of Jewelle Gomez's "Waiting for Giovanni" produced by TOSOS, the longest producing LGBTQ+ Theatre Company in NYC, and a company I have been associated with both as performer and now as board member. Kori suggested that Sister's Uptown would be a great place to have a relase/signing party for my book, and I am so excited and honored to have this opportunity. There will be book signing, refreshments, a reading or two, and who knows, perhaps some performances. I do hope you drop by to support independent artists, book sellers, and publishers. See you on Dec. 8th. Best, Patrick
